Using the neonate and adult mouse digit as a model for mammalian bone and tissue regeneration, my research has primarily focused on the investigation of intrinsic repair mechanisms following amputation of regeneration-incompetent structures, and the identification of strategies to transition repair mechanisms associated with scar formation into a successful regeneration response.
