Kwok, Michelle Assistant Professor

Michelle Kwok's interests reside at the intersections of teacher education and literacy instruction. She is dedicated to teaching teachers how to use literacy in the service of teaching their content area. In addition, her passion is empowering teachers to use literacy instruction as a means of providing equitable education opportunities.



Currently, she is leading a project on using linguistics to inform how to teach math word problems. Other projects include research on preservice teachers' beliefs on literacy and equitable instruction, diverse text choices, and identities.
