Stranahan, Lauren Clinical Assistant Professor


Dr. Stranahan's background is in bacterial disease with a focus on immunology, host-pathogen interactions, vaccinology, and diagnostic test development. She is interested in evaluating the immune response to vaccines and developing laboratory animal models of veterinary or human disease. As an anatomic pathologist, her preferred systems include the gastrointestinal and hematopoietic/lymphoid tissues as well as skin. Her previous research experiences have involved optimization of immunohistochemistry/immunofluoresence, animal models, cell culture, and protein chemistry/purification for diagnostic test development.
