abstract
The transient response of an air-to-water cross-flow heat exchanger was modeled using partial differential equations that were solved numerically by finite differences. Experimental data are presented to verify the numerical model. The numerical model is used to show some of the effects of moist air on the transient response of a heat exchanger. Ordinary differential equations are proposed that approximate the partial differential equation model.
