Development of a sophomore year engineering program at Texas A&M University Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • A series of engineering science courses has been developed in 1994 by the Sophomore Team at Texas A&M University. The engineering education program was based on the use of conservation principles to describe engineering systems. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of the program. One measure is to examine the grade point ratios of student. Another is to use similar examination questions and compare the results. This has been done for three of the courses and the results are presented and discussed.
