Thermo-mechanical fatigue and transformation behavior of TiNiCuSMA Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • The fatigue life, deformation behaviour and thermomechanical cycling under constant stress on transformation behaviour of a Ti50Ni40Cu10 alloy annealed at different temperatures were investigated. It was found that the annealing temperature effect the transformation temperatures, fatigue life and deformation behaviour of the alloy cycled to failure. It was also found that the Ti50Ni40Cu10 annealed at 823K exhibits the longest fatigue life under thermomechanical cycling.
