F32 award to provide postdoctoral training support for Veronica Contreras-Shannon, Ph.D. Goal of the research was to elucidate the mechanisms of increased fat deposition in regenerating skeletal muscle in the CC chemokine receptor 2 (CCR2 -/-) mouse. Dr. Shireman was the mentor for this project. Award terminated early for Dr. Contreras-Shannon to accept another position.
