Christopher G. Thompson is an Assistant Professor of Research, Measurement, and Statistics in the Department of Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University. His research focuses on methodical issues and applications of meta-analysis. He is particularly interested in Bayesian methods for meta-analysis, with a focus on the use of informative prior distributions. He has previously worked on meta-analysis issues related to partial effect sizes and effect-size dependency. Some of his substantive interests include the use of video-game based instruction on mathematics achievement and how action video games relate to cognitive development.
