abstract
The various stages of large-scale changes that most academic institution wish to implement in their current curricula are presented. These implementation stages include historical innovation review, course development and deployment in pilot form, obtaining faculty buy-in, considering the administrative details, and managing the transition. How Quality Functional Deployment methods can be used to identify and circumvent potential problem areas in the institutionalization process are also described.
