INTERZONE TEMPERATURE PROFILE ESTIMATION - SLAB-ON-GRADE HEAT TRANSFER RESULTS. Conference Paper

abstract

• A new approximate analytical technique for solving the transient periodic heat conduction equation is presented in this paper. The new technique, called interzone temperature profile estimation, or I. T. P. E. , is demonstrated for a two-dimensional ground coupling problem, namely the slab-on-grade problem with insulation above the floor (or with the insulation beneath the floor). The results are compared with those obtained by Kusuda's method and Delsante's Fourier transform-type solution.
