abstract

  • The International Milk Genomics Consortium (IMGC) was established to increase communication and collaboration among milk and mammary scientists, to accelerate research into the biological processes underlying milk, and to improve understanding of the health traits conferred to mother and offspring. The IMGC Web Portal (http://www.milkgenomics.org) is a publicly available resource in which milk and mammary genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and glycomic data from various organisms have been curated, integrated, and linked with external databases and tools. Users can upload their own data and control data access to facilitate collaborative projects prior to and after publication. Funded by the IMGC.
