The Turbomachinery Laboratory at Texas A&M University is seeking to establish a new model for funding rotating machinery research. The project for which the laboratory is seeking to establish this new model is a research to investigate honey comb seals for centrifugal compressors and steam turbines. The new model is established through a consortium of twelve compressor users and manufacturers from North America, Europe and Japan, each of whom will provide a $15,000 per year share of the costs.
