abstract

• A system for obtaining and processing uterine EMG signals from a maternal patient is provided. The system includes a pair of electrodes in communication with a patient's abdomen, a signal processing module capable of communicating with the electrodes, and a computer capable of communicating with the signal processing module. The system further comprises a skin impedance matching system comprising a matching module, a resistor ladder network, a microprocessor, and a detection module.
