Few things in this world are straightforward. It would be nice if scientific information flowed neatly from scientists to journalists to the public, but it doesnt. For much of the rest of the semester, well be exploring some of the problems with this idealized picture. This week, well begin with some of the complications that begin with the scientific enterprise itself.
