• Discusses the use of technology for distance education in higher education, considers the role that perspectives within the institution play in formulating a strategy for development and implementation, and describes a study that used a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) Analysis to determine the perspectives of administrators, faculty, and support units.
