A Discussion of the dipolar energy in superfluid3He

abstract

• We outline a simple derivation of the familiar form of the magnetic dipolar interaction in superfluid3He. The approach is direct, relying on little more than the properties of the Pauli matrices. The presentation fills in steps and avoids subtleties found in previous reviews of3He. 1995 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
