abstract
OBJECTIVE: To study on the tissue distribution of methotrexate magnetoliposomes in mice after an intravernous administration. METHODS: A HPLC method was established to determine the concentration of MTX in plasma and tissues. The liposomes were prepared by the reverse evaporation method. Tissue distributions of methotrexate magnetoliposomes and magnetic targeting were studied. RESULTS: The established method was accurate, replicable and with good linearity. After an administration, the methotrexate magnetoliposomes were concentrated in the area where the magnetic field was applied. CONCLUSION: The methotrexate magnetoliposomes show the good targeting property when being exposed in the magnetic field. The established HPLC method is easy to be used in MTX biodistribution study.
