Studies on coenzyme B12 model complexes X. synthesis, characterization and electrochemical properties of costa-type organcobalt B12 models

Several Costa-type organcobalt complexes([RCo(DO)(DOH)pn(H2O)]X, where R=n-C3H7, n-C4H9, n-C5H11, i-C4H9, c-C6H11, CH2C6H5, X=ClO-4, PF-6), containing the equatorical ligand N, N-propanediylbis(2, 3-butanedione 2-imine-3-oxime) have been prepared. They were characterized by elementary analysis, UV/vis and 1H NMR spectroscopy. Their electrochemical properties were studied by cyclic voltammetry. It's concluded that values of potentials are decreased with the enhancement of electron-donoring ability of axial R groups.
