A stochastic recursive interactive programming model for farm firm policy analysis Academic Article uri icon

abstract

  • A first-generation, farm level recursive interactive programming model for analyzing the impacts of commodity farm programs on typical farms (FLIPRIP) is described and demonstrated. FLIPRIP uses a specialized linear programming algorithm (XMP) and the farm managementpolicy components of FLIPSIM. A Texas cotton farm is analyzed using stochastic crop prices and yields under two farm policy options to demonstrate the type of policy data generated by FLIPRIP. 1969.
