abstract

• The Institution of Engineering and Technology 2016. In this chapter, fault tolerance in adjustable speed drive (ASD) systems is examined in detail. The chapter begins with a study of important factors affecting the reliability of ASDs. Then this chapter examines various power converter configurations employed in ASD systems and their modifications to enhance fault tolerance.
