A NEW COURSE SEQUENCE IN THE ENGINEERING SCIENCES WITH A DESIGN AND ECONOMICS PERSPECTIVE Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • Due to the increasing pace of information interchange, constant corporate restructuring, and global competition, the new engineering graduate must be well endowed with rudimentaries of engineering science as well as capable of immediate contribution to product design and development. The development of an innovative coordinated package of combined engineering science core courses, featuring enhanced design and economics content was recently reported. These courses were conceptualized as prototypes for a potential common core of engineering science courses. Its effectivity has yet to be fully determined.
