Toward the design of new technologies for deep-water anchorages Conference Paper

abstract

• Studies aimed at understanding and development of procedures for deep-water anchorages at the Offshore Technology Research Center were reported. Laboratory experiments on caisson models under axial loads were presented. Suction caisson anchors under axial and lateral loads were studied using computational methods and simulations. Application of concepts of reliability in developing geotechnical site investigation programs was discussed.
