abstract

  • A group of five piles was loaded to failure in a medium dense sand together with a control single pile as a reference. The piles were heavily instrumented; this allowed to obtain all usual data on the pile behavior during loading including residual stresses after driving, load versus depth, load transfer curves at various depth and so on.
