abstract
The paper investigates wave interaction effects around a TLP for a range of wave conditions. Numerical results are obtained for a large number of field points in an area surrounding the platform. The local structure of linear- and second order wave amplification is mapped out and discussed. Also included are results for the maximum crest elevation for the given sea conditions. For a limited set of field points, comparisons are carried out with experiments. The main sources of discrepancy between second order perturbation theory and experiments are identified, and the implications for design practice adressed.
