The Location Independent Video Education (LIVE) system implemented in classrooms and laboratories to enhance the student-faculty interaction through wireless remote access is discussed. The system aims at integrating, testing and disseminating new and emerging technologies that link the mobile students to the classroom or laboratory. The system can be used to present lectures through a video/audio capture capability installed in the classroom. This system also enables the students to interact with the instructor using messaging software.
