Reactions of (5C5Me5)Re(NO)(PPh3)(C CCCR) (R = Me, H) and (t-BuO)3WW(O-t-Bu)3give (t-BuO)3WCR and the title complex (79-76%), which crystallizes from toluene as a solvated tert-butoxybridged dimer. The NMR, IR, and crystallographic properties establish dominant Re-CC-CW as opposed to+Re=C=C=C=W-character.
