abstract

  • The deep green, chiral, configurationally stable cation radical (SS, RR)-[(5-C5Me5)Re(NO)-(PPh3)(CCCC)Ph3(ON)Re(5-C5Me5)]+PF6- is prepared by comproportionation of the corresponding neutral and dicationic C4 complexes or Ag+PF6- oxidation of the neutral complex (5069%). ESR and IR data indicate complete spin delocalization between the two rheniums, and UV/visible/near-IR absorptions are described. 1993, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
