Approaches using soluble polymers to facilitate recovery and reuse of homogeneous catalysts are discussed. Separation strategies based on soluble polymers that precipitate on cooling, soluble polymers that precipitate on heating and polymers that dissolve selectively in fluorous or aqueous phases are all described.
