abstract
Field trips provided as a part of courses in aerial-photo interpretation and remote-sensing offer a unique education opportunity for improving students' image-interpretation abilities. Although such trips require extensive preparation and coordination to ensure success, they appear to be cost effective and acceptable to most students. We have found that carefully designed exercises completed as part of such trips will encourage students to integrate lab/lecture material with printed information and on-site observations. -Authors
