abstract
This project aims to examine various insect management strategies with respect to deficit irrigation production systems in west Texas. Thrips, cotton fleahoppers, Lygus plant bugs, stink bugs, and caterpillar pests will be evaluated against available management tools and the management recommendations will be made to the producers for optimum profitability of the production systems. An efficient integrated pest management approach will be developed for Texas High Plains cotton.
