abstract
We will generate large datasets from comparative analyses of phenotypes that do or do not have disorders/diseases of performance and welfare interest. The analyses and synthesis of this data will yield novel insights into the basis of traits, and will aid in the development of novel approaches to mitigate problems in modern poultry that are important from a animal health, performance, or welfare standpoint.
