Dr. Chu is a board-certified veterinary clinical pathologist and an assistant professor at Texas A&M University. Her academic journey began with a DVM degree from National Taiwan University and a PhD in veterinary pathology and residency training at Texas A&M University. Prior to her current role, she served as an assistant professor of clinical pathology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Chu is particularly interested in studying gene and microRNA expression related to chronic kidney disease, with a special emphasis on the potential of urinary microRNAs as early biomarkers for dogs and cats. Her work integrates bioinformatics, artificial intelligence in veterinary medicine, and digital cytology.
