Perry, Nandra Associate Professor

My field of concentration is early modern (c. 1500-c. 1700) English literature with cross-disciplinary research and teaching interests in Religious Studies. My work considers the implications of religious change and conflict for literary representations of interiority, exemplarity, and heroism. Her forthcoming book, Imitatio Christi: The Poetics of Piety in Early Modern England (Notre Dame University Press) explores the relationship of the traditional devotional paradigm of ‘the imitation of Christ’ to the theory and practice of literary imitation.
