abstract
A new approach that integrates production data into high-resolution reservoir models with streamline simulators can resolve reservoir heterogeneity using techniques developed for geophysical imaging. The use of streamline-based inversion of production to characterize reservoirs is described. A multiwell, multitracer interwell injection study was conducted in the McCleskey sandstone, Ranger field in Texas. Interference tests were conducted at Conoco Inc.'s borehole test facility in Oklahoma. The water-cut response of the North Robertson Unit in Texas was examined. The use of time-lapse seismic monitoring is discussed.
