  • This study presents panel-based evidence on the overall traffic fatality consequences of recent changes in state gasoline taxes. Our results suggest that plausibly exogenous increases in state gasoline taxes are associated with fewer traffic fatalities. 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
