abstract

• The article focuses on the Prevention Research Center (PRC) program established at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It says that the program is designed to reinforce health promotion activities at the schools of public health by developing ties between the schools, CDC, and the practice community. It is noted that the program bases its framework for community-based participatory research (CBPR) on the definition given by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
