abstract

  • Inadequate preventive and curative healthcare services exacerbate Hispanic health disparities in many ways. The development of adequate services requires training healthcare providers as one of several approaches to improving access to care. Reduction of health disparities further requires attention to social and economic structural factors that sustain high rates of poverty in many Hispanic subpopulations. We will focus on documenting Hispanic health disparities and give brief attnetion tot he training needs for healthcare providers.
