Baylor, Amber Associate Professor

My work is centered on criminal justice, with a particular focus on alternatives to mass incarceration. I have written about women and pretrial detention, the impact of trauma from pretrial detention, and the historic experiences of women in prison. I currently am studying the experiences of the imprisoned and formerly imprisoned in traditionally marginalized communities. I also write about community lawyering in law school clinics.
