Newell, Kirsten Assistant Professor

Dr. Newell's research seeks to improve the use of academic assessment tools as part of systematic prevention and intervention systems in schools. Specifically, she is interested in validating assessment tools for use with students learning in more than one language. Dr. Newell also conducts research to investigate how educators understand and use assessment data.
