abstract
In this work, a wideband phase shifter is designed with SIW loaded with an array of square complementary omega (SCO) in the ground plane. The SCOs are aligned in a manner wherein the stem is pointing in the direction of propagation, a constant phase shift of 45 over a wide range of frequencies with respect to a reference is obtained. The phase shifter is compact with an electrical length of 0.83g at 10 GHz and has an operating bandwidth ranging from 8 to 14 GHz ( 55%) with an accuracy of 5, return loss > 15 dB and insertion loss < 1 dB.
