Ecofeminism as a Tool for Environmental Liberation Webpage uri icon

abstract

  • Environmental and man-made disasters impact women, femmes, non-binary, and gender-fluid people acutely. This ebook discusses the history of ecofeminism + key ecofeminism liberation movements through an intersectional lens. We explore ecofeminism through an intersectional lens that takes into account how gender, sexuality, race, class, geography, and other social factors determine how marginalized people experience environmental problems. There is a focus on ecofeminism from the perspective of Black, Indigenous, and women of color.
