• AbstractPhthalimide derivatives are important in medicinal chemistry, several phthalimidation methodologies have been developed. Here, we report a facile, metalfree, and catalystfree method for the preparation of Nphthalimides in good to excellent yield by reacting 2(arenesulfonyl)phthalimides with various amine substrates.
