INTEGRATING MICROCOMPUTER-BASED SPREADSHEETS INTO A HEATING AND COOLING LOAD DESIGN COURSE. Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • This paper provides an introduction to spreadsheet software and demonstrates how it was used to perform heating and cooling load analysis in an undergraduate HVAC design course. Specific capabilities of the microcomputer software are discussed, and software-generated examples related to HVAC design are given. Classroom applications as well as the actual teaching technique being used are described. This paper is intended for instructors, students, and practicing engineers who would like an introduction to spreadsheet software. It includes suggestions on getting started with a software package and what to look for in spreadsheet software.
