abstract
In this paper, we study the problems of radial diffusion of a fluid through a hollow non-linearly elastic orthotropic cylinder. It is found that shearing and stretching have qualitatively different effects on the diffusion process. The effect of orthotropy on the diffusion process is also studied. These results are compared with those for the isotropic case [cf. Int. J. Engng Sci. 25, 1441-1457 (1987)]. 1991.
