On the mechanics of a mixture of a fluid and particulate solids Conference Paper

abstract

• We discuss the mechanics of a mixture of a fluid and granular particles within the context of the theory of interacting continua. Possible constitutive equations for the components of such a mixture are discussed and properties of the mixture as the mixture viscosity are discussed in terms of the properties of the constituents.
