abstract
The development of steady and periodic unsteady wake flow downstream of stationary and rotating cylindrical rods within a curved channel under zero longitudinal pressure gradient is theoretically and experimentally investigated. Wake quantities are measured and then transformed from the probe coordinate system into the curvilinear wake eigen-coordinate system. Through comparison between measurement and the theory it is found out that the complex steady and unsteady wake flows are very well predicted.
