abstract
A linear dependence of the electron temperature gradient on the electric field for several Hall thrusters was discussed. The study was carried out by plotting the electron temperature as a function of the plasma. The Hall thruster operated in the discharge voltage range of 200-400 V. It was found that the relationship hold both inside and outside the thruster for electron temperature upto 40 eV, which indicates that the wall and secondary electron emission (SEE) do not have a significant effect on the electron temperature over the operating range.
