Modeling of layerwise piezolaminated structures

A finite element model to study the behavior of layerwise piezolaminated structures was formulated. The materials were assumed to be homogeneous, general anisotropic and linear elastic in the analysis. Several interpolation schemes were used to predict the stress field components and the electric displacement field. The results obtained were compared with elasticity analytical solutions. © 2002 SPIE · 0277-786X/02/$15.00.
