abstract
The various features of combinatorial techniques are presented. The combinatorial techniques are widely used to synthesize, formulate, and screen various types of polymeric, inorganic, and hybrid materials. High-throughput analysis is providing the ability to rapidly discover synergies amongst multiple ingredients that are not possible to discover using traditional techniques. The popularity of combinatorial methodology in materials development is evidenced by the organizations that have held symposia showcasing a variety of unique instrumentation, and methodologies designed to carry out combinatorial studies.
