abstract
The implementation of multi-level codes with low-density parity-check (LPDC) codes at each level of Slepian-Wolf coding of n correlated m-ary sources, was discussed. While compressing correlated sources, the Slepian-Wolf theorem defined the set of achievable rate vectors. The LPDC codes can be designed for different correlation models between sources outputs, the side information and the approach the Slepian-Wolf limits. It was observed in the case of compression of ternary sources, a ternary LPCD code was carefully designed with EXIT-charts method based on Davey And MacKay's decoding algorithm.
